Biography

RESEARCH OFFICER

Niek de Wit is professor in Primary Care at  the University Medical Center in Utrecht, the Netherlands, and coordinates the development of academic general practice in Utrecht.

His focus in research is on gastrointestinal disease in primary care,with a special interest in functional disease. He is co-author of national and international guidelines on IBS, dyspepsia and colorectal cancer, member of the editorial board of Family practice, of the scientific committee of UEG and of the steering committee of the European Society of Primary Care Gastroenterology (ESPCG).
